The Caballeros are exceptional at guerrilla-style warfare, having adapted to the harsh conditions of their native lands. They are highly skilled at mounted and mobile warfare. The Caballeros are mobile guerrilla fighters, evasive and opportunistic. They are especially known for their lightning-quick ambushes and hard-hitting raids behind enemy lines and are masters of hit-and-run mobile warfare. They love to strike a killing blow at the heart of an enemy formation before returning to their own lines, prepared to pounce once more. The Caballeros are extremely resourceful and pragmatic. They are patient, determined and utterly ferocious in pursuit of their enemies. Caballeros are all accomplished riders, and often will use riding mounts to move from battle to battle, dismounting only when they are close to the enemy and wish to employ stealth. Once the enemy is sighted, the Caballeros will stalk them closely, relying on their practiced marksmanship.

General Strategy The Caballeros is an infantry unit that is available for the Junta commander from the beginning of the game. It costs 4 manpower units to deploy, so it could easily be used at the beginning of an assault mission. The Caballeros is one of the fastest infantry available in the game, so it is very effective in capturing points earlier on the game.

That being said, the Caballeros is not an unit without weaknesses. While 80 health and 80-100 attack isn't terrible, the deployment of this unit could prove a risky manoeuvre, especially considering how the standard Guerrilla is cheaper, stronger, longer ranged, and by far more survivable due to stealth-by-deployment. Use the Caballeros to cap far away manpower points when it is reasonably assured that no hostile units will be around to retaliate.

Abilities Hit and Run

This ability allows the Caballeros to use one action point to move, then to fire, and move once again. This allows the Cabelleros to lightly harass an enemy unit, then to either move back to safer grounds or move forward to cap a resource point. Notice that, with the Caballeros' moderate firepower, many light infantry units could be left with only a fraction of its health or be completely wiped out due to a critical hit.
